Pooped Out-itis, do you have this?
(Caution: this article will include several self initiated "vocab" by the writer)
Hi everyone,
It's great to just sit down and chat with you all again.
Life sometimes just seriously gets too busy for us to even notice that we are actually "pooped out", exhausted and literally simply just tired. Funny word right? But, this word gets used on many occasions in fitness circles, and here at JVL, to just describe the syndrome we have all been faced with at some time or another.
I was shocked to have learnt that chronic tiredness is one of the most frequent causes of visits to the doctor's office. It is completely normal to be tired after a gruelling workout, especially one done with team JVL, but this exhaustion should definitely not last all day. Furthermore, it is certainly not normal to wake up tired after a good night's rest. It is however normal to look a bit "Funky" this time of the day, so no worries there! Do you realize that arguments or bickering over all sorts of "nothings" could actually cause your body to fatigue, become more and more tired with your body, mind and spirit just ending in exhaustion?
I know that the common cold flu, pneumonia and other sorts of "nasty" illnesses, which by the way you do not want, are far more likely to strike someone who is suffering from chronic fatigue, but realizing that this could in a very subtle but lethal way prevent my body from losing weight, was to say the least a wake-up call. As my job is very high strung and filled with daily challenges, I have tried to apply the "whu-sah...rubbing of the ears" moment to my daily regimen more often. So next time when you feel your blood pressure rising to boiling point and your physical strength doubling in power for the uncontroling urge to punch, remember that this situation could be your biggest enemy on the "losing weight battlefield".
How do you know if you are fatigued?
1. Insufficient sleep;
2. Poor circulation;
3. Cold or flu;
4. You are "highly-strung" and ready to go into fighting mode at the smallest gesture;
5. Eye strain;
6. Too much sleep can also lead to this;
7. Obesity;
8. Overeating (duh!)
Prevention is better than cure: Come to JVL for help!
1. Make sure you get 6 – 8 hours of a good, quiet rest (no-brainer!)
2. Drink more water;
3. Make sure that your training regimen is not causing over exhaustion of your physique which could contribute to your fatigue. Listen to your body when it says it has had enough;
4. Get a supplementary product to boost your energy levels. I love Adaptagens for adrenal gland reset, Optiwomen and Spirodex. This is availible on request at our JVL shops! Visist us today!
So my legal orders for the week are that should you feel the urge to punch, verbally abuse or tackle your chosen victim for the day, know that your aim is to look, feel and be the best YOU, and this B#*@% is just denying you your victory! Step away, rest and relax. Life has a funny way of working out and if you could stay looking fabulous in the process, BONUS!
Till next time, stay fit and fabulous....."whu-sah!"
Yours in health;
Angel.
